By a wide margin, the number one ingredient in most skin care lotions and creams is water (also called agua and eau). That's not inherently bad, but it may be indicative that those whose products are 70-75% water are more interested in bulk than performance.

I refuse to use water or cheap synthetic fillers in my products so I know my products deliver the maximum benefit from the carefully chosen ingredients.
